Singing is a calling for me and has been since the age of five when I used our family fireplace as my stage (when it wasn't lit!) While pursuing music studies at Ithaca College where I studied voice with Patrice Pastore and Vocal Jazz Improv with Steve Brown. My professional life as a vocalist has allowed me to explore a variety of vocal styles from classical, jazz, rock and R&B. Recently I have performed with WoodyGeissman (formerly of the Del Fuegos), Ken Shano, John Funkhouser and Victor Belanger *** Lesson Details *** I will teach you first and foremost how to relax your body so that you are able to use it as a vessel to enhance your natural sound. You will learn breathing techniques that will serve to boost and promote a healthy sound. We will also learn a bit about ear training and harmony. Most importantly, we will find a safe place inside yourself where imagination can thus play a key role in forming your artistry as a vocalist. We will not be afraid to explore.
