I specialize in healthy singing, first and foremost. I believe that the cornerstone of making any sound is proper technique, whether one is singing pop or art song, speaking Shakespeare or Mamet. I specialize in classical singing and the Broadway belt/mix styles.
I teach beginning-intermediate piano. I love teaching piano! I feel it's the best instrument to learn because you must learn every aspect of reading music to play proficiently. I was able to learn several instruments
quickly growing up because of the skills I acquired through learning piano first.
I am also able to coach/teach break down/ score a monologue/scene/song for study and performance. I feel that the first rule of acting is specificity. There are millions of possibilities, all one has to do is make a specific choice with each new turn of thought.
Along with making healthy choices for the artists instrument, I also feel strongly about making a healthy and safe place for a student to experiment and try new things. In any lesson/class taught, I want every student to feel that they can take risks and push the limits of their talents! When one steps out their comfort zone growth happens!
