I have been performing and teaching for over 10 years. I consider myself a teaching artist, in the fact that teaching is an art as much as the music itself is. Every student is unique and wants to achieve something different, my goal is to help them achieve their goals in the most fun and artistic way possible. MY PROMISE TO YOU Finding a good music teacher can sometimes be a difficult process, so I hope to make this as easy as possible, if you choose to use me as a teacher I will -Always be prepared for lessons -Always give 100% effort -Always be available to answer any questions -Always do my best to ensure your needs as a student are fulfilled When I first took guitar lessons, I looked forward to them all week, they were my favorite part of the week. I want my lessons to be that special and important for my students as well, that's why I make that promise. Some of the artists I have performed with include Kristen Kelly, The Modern Day Drifters, Branded the Duo, and Candace Myers. I have been fortunate to open for acts such as The Randy Rogers Band, Cory Morrow, Honeybrowne, John Legend, and numerous others. I earned my Associates in Commercial Music Performance at McLennan Community College. MCC offers an intensive music program where I was able to study with Western Swing legend, bassist Dick Gimble, and the incredible Jazz guitarists Clark Nauert and Kenny Frazier. I later attended the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Jazz Studies. While at UTA I was part of the UTA Jazz Orchestra, the premier big band of UTA. I was able to study with guitar masters Billy Robertson and Sam Walker. If you have any questions about lessons, please ask!
