    About Sebastian C.

    Sebastian C. is an experienced piano teacher from Orange County, CA. He has nearly a decade of experience teaching the widest possible array of music students, including young children with no previous knowledge of piano with disabilities and serious college graduates with degrees in piano performance. His teaching style emphasizes technique as a means to expression, and a customized, easy-to-follow approach to learning all of the fundamentals of piano playing. A pianist and composer from Orange County, California, he received his B.M. from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and his M.M. from the University of Southern California in Composition. He has been playing piano and composing for his entire life, and his original works have been premiered by major orchestras around the world, among them the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Louisville Orchestra, and the Pacific Symphony Orchestra. As a pianist he has been recipient of many prizes and awards, including a first place finish in the Los Angeles Liszt Competition, numerous wins in various divisions of the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, and solo performances with various symphony orchestras, including the Pacific Symphony, the Reno Philharmonic, and the California Symphony.
