    About Sean C.

I'm proud to have been performing and teaching music for over 15 years. I am a diverse teacher and performer, and have performed in both musicals and operas myself. In addition to my 16 years of teaching experience, I also perform and audition CONSTANTLY. I believe that studying with a teacher who is also performing is critical, as the skills I am passing onto my students come from real experience. As a voice teacher, I believe in getting the most out of your vocal instrument, while also protecting it. The voice is fragile, and it's important to learn how to make it work well, while caring for it at the same time. My focus is on solid fundamental technique, with emphasis on posture, breath support, and placement of the sound to fit the desired style. I also strongly believe that the best way to learn is by being "on the field", so I support my students in doing things like open mics, karaoke, and auditions if that's their path. I have Degrees in Voice Performance and Music Education from Moravian College, as well as 33 graduate credits towards a Master of Arts in Music Education. My style is to be honest and direct with you, but with love. ;) I promise I will make this powerful, AND fun for you. I have no doubt you'll laugh a lot in our sessions. It's good for the voice
