    About Sarah W.

Hey there, my name is Sarah W. and I am a touring musician and songwriter. I graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a Songwriting Degree in May of 2013 and have since been traveling between London and Los Angeles to record, write, and gig. I am home in Minnesota where I grew up until Sept 1 and am available for lessons in Piano, Voice, Drums, and Songwriting. I have had a lot of experience teaching music and love working with kids. In high school I taught at Keyboard Kids in Wayzata, where I was an assistant piano teacher for two years. I have spent two summers working at Portland's Rock n' Roll Camp for Girls teaching piano and songwriting, and spent one summer teaching at the New York Location. I also spent two years teaching private piano lessons to an 8 and 11 year old on and off. I was also selected as an alumni mentor for Berklee's Songwriting Workshop, which took place last week from June 26-29 and helped 15-20 year olds learn how to craft and improve their songwriting skills. I try to take a very fun and imaginative approach to teaching and want to make sure each student enjoys playing their instrument. I make sure to see what the goal and level is for each student and adjust my teaching around that. My schedule over the next two months is very flexible, and I can do group lessons with more than one student if you have two kids or if your child has a friend that wants to take lessons too. It would be great to have lessons at my home in Plymouth, as I have a piano and drums set up, but I am flexible and able to come to your home if that is easier. Hope to hear from you soon!
