I love to sing and I hope I will have the opportunity to share that passion with you soon! I grew up locally, singing with groups in church and with the Louisville Youth Choir. I have recently returned to the Louisville area after 7 years in New York where I worked as a singer, performing with groups like The Blue Hill Troupe, Chelsea Opera and Opera Company of Brooklyn. Throughout my education and career I have worked with some of the most talented people in the business as a performer, student and teacher. All of my travels and experience have given me a passion for singing which I know can be to your benefit! *** Lesson Details *** I believe that the process of learning any instrument should be fun - especially voice! Our voices are intimately entwined with our personalities which makes it the most exciting instruments to study. When we endeavor to learn to sing well, we ultimately learn a great deal about ourselves. I want my students to approach every lesson with openness, a positive attitude, and a sense of humor! With consistent effort, gentle encouragement and LOTS of fun, students will develop the courage to let their unique voices ring whatever they choose to sing! *** Travel Equipment *** I am not able to provide equipment. Students must have a keyboard or piano. *** Specialties *** I am classically trained singer and have over 15 years of experience studying and performing. I am passionate about all types of vocal music, especially art song and opera. I look forward to working with you to develop a solid vocal technique which will help you to fully enjoy singing all of your favorite genres!
