Perfect your range through Singing lessons with an experience voice teacher

I’ve been teaching voice for 8 years and my students have gone on to perform leading roles in stage productions, chosen for select ensembles, gig with bands or as solo artists, and have pursued music at the collegiate level. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to have a basic foundation for singing like posture, breath support and vocal anatomy, and as time goes on you'll be able to build on these with a deeper dive into vocal exercises and skills to unleash your full vocal potential. I specialize in classical, musical theater and pop genres, and have the following tools available for your lessons: keyboard, music stand, Bluetooth speaker, iPad with digital sheet music library. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

    About Sarah C.

I am a classically trained vocalist who started singing and playing piano at the age of 7. I have a background in music theater, opera and commercial voice. I studied piano through college and started teaching beginning piano and voice during my summer breaks. I attended Belmont University where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance and minor in music business. I absolutely love teaching voice, most of all, I want you to learn to love music and the possibilities it can bring you. *** Lesson Details *** My students learn basic technique, theory, music history and ear training. During music history and theory lessons, I like to use the computer and iPad as another resource to teach. During voice lessons, each student will learn the basics of singing. I use a book I have used myself during my vocal studies, Releasing the Inner Voice: A Guide for Singers by Marjorie Halbert, to help through the beginning stages. My main goal as a teacher is to show you how to sing properly and safely first, then, we can use that foundation as a sounding board to experiment in the different styles you want to sing. *** Specialties *** Beginning classical/opera, gospel, musical theater and pop voice.

For almost a year, Sarah has been my piano teacher. She is encouraging, patient, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about my improvement. She never rushes a lesson and always takes the time to fully answer any questions I have. I have recommended her to several of my friends and co-workers, and I will continue to do so. Having a teacher who is just as pleased with my accomplishments as I am is refreshing and appreciated. If you are looking for someone to encourage you and teach you, look no further than Sarah!
