Hey everyone, thanks for checking out my profile! I am a professional saxophone/wind player here in New York City. I've been a full-time performer in the area since 2012 after graduating from Queens College with a master's degree in jazz performance. I am fortunate to have studied with two of the best saxophone educators in the world, first at University of North Florida with Bunky Green, and then here in the city with Antonio Hart at Queens College. I am currently active in the jazz and pop scene, playing 5-6 gigs a night, so I truly understand the demands and fulfilment of being a professional musician. I have been teaching since 2003 and love watching my students grow, both as students and as people. I strive to show each of my students the joy of music, both in creating it and consuming it, and create a positive relationship between the pupil and the instrument. In order to achieve that goal I place a large emphasis on learning by ear, and playing along with recordings in order to develop a love and relationship with music. Music is about having fun, and feeling fulfilled, not about just about running scales and doing well on tests.
