    About Ryan K.

After studying privately with Jose Satriani while still in high school, I went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, and eventually graduated from California Institute of the Arts with a BFA in Jazz Guitar performance. While at CalArts, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of world class teachers including Charlie Haden, Larry Koonse, and Miroslav Tadic, and David Roitstein. In addition to performing with my dad as the lead guitarist in The Greg Kihn Band for the past 12 years, I also currently work with the newly revamped Quicksilver Messenger Service, as well as The Cheeseballs (corporate bay area party band). I have performed with a who’s who of major rock artists, including Eddie Money, Billy Idol, Joe Satriani, Mike Reno (Loverboy), Jimi Jameson (Survivor), and Bobby Kimbal (Toto).
