I hold a Bachelor's in music from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I am on the teaching staff at School of Rock Aurora. I have taught in the past in WA and CO including at music stores and in several public schools. I was previously signed to Candlelight Records and I have published two books on bass drum technique. I have worked with students who have learning disabilities and physical disabilities. I have taught students from age 4 to 58 and I accept all ability levels and any type of musical background (or lack thereof). My teaching is a combination of traditional knowledge and modern application. I customize my lessons for every student and everyone learns what they are interested in, plus some basics that everyone must know. *** Studio Equipment *** At my home studio: 2 Full Drum Sets, kids drum set, Glockenspiel, Claves, Maracas, Shakers, Shekere, Frame Drum, Dumbek, Bongos, Roto-Toms, Practice Pads, Extra Sticks, Music Stands, Acoustic and Electric Guitars for Jamming, etc. Parents or other non-students may wait in the living room on the couch or observe the lesson in the studio.
