Russ K. has been working in the Entertainment Industry for over 20 years. Russ has worked with national and local artists as a producer, sound engineer, consultant, manager, musician, songwriter, and teacher. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Denver with a BS in Music Production and a focus on vocal performance in 2005, Russ formed his own Artist Development Company to help mold young artists into rising stars. Russ has performed as the lead singer in many local and nationally known rock bands, most recently having been the lead singer of the popular Denver-based band Left Foot Green. Today he brings his array of talents and knowledge of voice, piano, guitar, drums, production, stage performance, songwriting, music theory and in depth knowledge of the music industry to his students to help them grow and learn. *** Studio Equipment *** Pro-tools rig Yahmaha Electric Piano Acoustic/ Electric guitars Ibanes SR700 Bass *** Travel Equipment *** I will provide sheet music and for singers a microphone during lessons. I will bring my own guitar for guitar lessons. I expect all students to have their own instrument. *** Specialties *** Use teach speech level singing. Mostly focused on helping a singer find control and clarity with their voice. I spend lots of time with style, and finding each singers "voice" in their music. My performance background ans a working and touring musician helps to set my students up on a path for future success and a career in music. For instruments I teach from a heavy theory background. Piano and guitar I teach basic technique and style variation. For Drums I teach core technique as well as pop/rock set style. working on beat manipulation and playing clean.
