Saxophone with Robert D.

Robert D. Tenor Saxophonist from Columbus, OH, started playing jazz at age 12. Since then, he has played in a multitude of events promoting jazz throughout the United States as well as in Europe. He has gotten the opportunity to share the stage with, but not limited to, Gilbert Castellanos, John Ellis, Marcus Roberts, Lee Konitz, Wessel “Warmdaddy” Anderson, Jason Marsalis, Donny McCaslin, Peter Bernstein, Jim Rupp, Bobby Floyd, Byron Stripling, Gene Walker, and other prominent musicians. Aside from being a performer, he is also is an accomplished writer/arranger. He has composed/arranged for both small groups, such as the Spartan Jazz Collective, as well as large ensembles, arranging works Jazz Ensemble I at UNC-Greensboro, where he completed his Undergraduate Degree, and Guest Artists concerts. Most recently, he has arranged for Donny McCaslin, Patrick Cornelius, and Bill Campbell. Rob currently resides in San Diego, CA.
