Hello,
I am a cool musician with a passion for teaching. I grew up singing, and learned much of what I know from being surrounded by excellent musicians. That real life hands on training has helped me a great deal now that I am a Music Education Major.
When I am working with students I like to work with them on a personal, one on one level. I take the time to get to know their needs as an individual artist, and what their goals are, so that I can design a program that works best for them.
As a musician and a teacher the greatest thing for me, is when I see progress in my students. I love to see them transform from just singers into true performers and artist.
I am most comfortable teaching genres of: pop, r&b, soul, acoustic, indie, hip-hop, country, classical, and music theatre.
I genuinely LOVE all types of music, and always keep an open mind to new things!
I enjoy when my students become involved in their lessons, and bring ideas and suggestions to the table. That type of input not only helps them, but it helps me learn more about them as an individual and an as artist.
I am very open minded instructor, and I love working with people with different interest, and diverse backgrounds!
*** Lesson Details ***
When I begin new lessons with a student our first lesson together will be finding out the students goals, what their capabilities are, and what they want to learn. In a first lesson I generally begin by having the student sing a song they are comfortable, and familiar with. Then I assess their vocal abilities, and we design warm-ups based upon their needs and goals.
*** Studio Equipment ***
Practice Rooms: space can be reserved, piano and music stand and chairs, parents can sit in on lesson, parking lot near.
*** Travel Equipment ***
If lessons are in a student home we will need a piano, or keyboard.
*** Specialties ***
I'm familiar with methods used in classical singing, as well as Pop and R&B styles.

I am currently directing a show to wrap up the 2013/2014 season at MET black Box. I have been directing since I was 16 years old, and it is a passion that has followed with me throughout my career. I have directed and written many plays for a number of valley organizations and churches and now have branched out to community theatre as well.
