Piano with Randi R.

Both on the podium and behind the scenes, Randi Ellen R.'s work in musical theater and opera is innovative and interdisciplinary, and she is committed to discovering, creating, and performing collaborative music across all genres. She has served as conductor, music director, and pianist for productions throughout California and New York, working with Ram's Head Theatrical Society, Moonlight Stage Productions, the Stanford Music Department, and the Ithaca College Theatre Arts Department. She recently received the Louis J. Sudler Prize in Music for conducting, and was named a semi-finalist in the national American Prize competition for her work in musical theater conducting. Dedicated not only to creating meaningful art for both performers and audiences, Randi is also committed to making music and the arts more accessible. Her work in arts administration has focused on fundraising through grant writing and expanding theater audiences through creative publicity and outreach. She is the former Executive Producer of Ram'™s Head Theatrical Society, where she also served on the Board of Directors for several years. Randi has also performed on violin, harpsichord, voice, and organ, and continues to expand her musical knowledge and study other instruments in her free time. She holds a BA in Music with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University. Randi is currently pursuing her Masters of Music in Opera and Musical Theater Conducting at Ithaca College, where she is a Graduate Assistant and a Jack Kent Cooke Graduate Arts Scholar.
