Music and children are my two greatest passions and I love teaching them!! Piano knowledge and the ability to play are a great foundation for any kind of musical career and the best place to start is with classical pieces. My teaching approach is that anyone can play if they have the right motivation and are willing to practice and the younger the student, the higher the potential for learning, as long as they can sit still for a few minutes at a time and have a good grasp on letters and numbers. As a teacher, I try to put myself in my students shoes to figure out the best way to teach them and for the young beginner I use several different activities including flashcards, rhythm sticks, and a floor piano.
