**AT THIS TIME I AM ONLY TEACHING ACTING, WITH A FEW LIMITED STUDENTS IN SINGING/PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE, FYI.**

I am in the middle, I would say. Very happy and laid back in my persona, but very clear about a person achieving their goals. Different personalities call for different things, so I would say it's according to what the student brings to the table and what ultimately they want to accomplish. Some want to be bonafide superstars, some want to perform better, some want to just ... communicate better and some just want an artistic outlet. Those are different goals and must be met in different ways. You can learn as much as you desire, no day would I say is "typical" because we are always changing. Below, I will attach some curricula you can learn through me and it can be adapted to your learning style. Lots of covers not only the performance aspect, but the "business" and "behind the scenes" sides as well. There will always be components of writing, performing and singing but they will be in different facets to keep it fresh. Take a look and I have more, these are just samples of lessons we can do:

For Fun/Practice Students:

1) Exploring the Body & Voice—Students learn to explore their bodies infinite movement and vocals through various exercises. This exploration helps to calm the body and voice for the stage as well as move past insecurities and common fears of being on stage. Common exercises are Natural Voice Scales, The Human Beat, Close-Touch-Visualize, Scream Meter, Running Through Space and More

2) Verbals and Nonverbals—Students explore the meaning of expression through verbal and nonverbal exercises. They develop (or use pre-developed material) to rehearse communicating emotions to an audience on stage. They learn to develop where to pull emotions from and how to create emotions through verbals and nonverbal. Common exercises are the Mirror Game, Freeze Emotions (nonverbal), Repetitive Emotions (verbal) and More. They combine skills learned in Body and Voice with verbals/nonverbal to connect harmony of the body and the emotion on stage.

3) Building Character and Writing Development—Students explore a variety of topics and situations through role plays and exercises to get ideas about topics and points that spark inspiration. Through improve and group activities, students develop a “subject or topic bank” that they use to throw out ideas about things that are interesting to write about. Students free write, improv (acting or singing) each session for an allotted period to build on characters

For Advanced/Career Oriented Students:

Artist 101: The Art of Being An Artist (Core Overall Curriculum) —
*These workshops will explore different occupations of art dealing with performance to music production.
*Students will learn a variety of skill sets to see which art occupation suits them best. Workshops will include singing, rapping, acting/theater, musical theater, music production, video production and more. *The workshops will put the students in the role of these artists and teach the skills needed to succeed at those jobs.
*They will receive hands-on experience and learn fine-tuned performance technique in vocal projection, stage presence, and artist professionalism.
*They will participate in weekly auditions to be evaluated by teacher, as well as local artist guests.
*They will also produce several written and musical pieces that will be packaged into their artist portfolio/press kit.

Business Artist 101: The Business of Being An Artist (Core Overall Curriculum)—
*These workshops will explore the business side of being an artist from marketing to booking and travel. *Students will explore the business world that an artist lives from creating and balancing an artist schedule, budget, time management, marketing and promotions, internet art business, business meeting etiquette and more.

I am a happy-go-lucky person who loves to perform. I focus on students being practical and passionate about music and theater and have the know-how to teach anyone the skills or just greater confidence in yourself. My goal beyond learning any skill is to show you how to use arts to better your life from any aspect. I teach you to have a more creative life in anything that you do.

I have been most successful in what I do by simply being me and being an engaging and dedicated performer ... and teacher. I love people and I love learning and growing from them through experience. I enjoy life and truly believe you can do anything you desire to do, no thing is too great or small.

As a teacher, I seek to teach you the following skills:

2) basic singing and breathing techniques
3) performance technique/crafting your performance for the stage & video
4) basic theater techniques (parts of the stage, blocking etc) & directing/play writing (for stage/tv and film)
5) performance poetry writing and techniques
6)public speaking (speaking in front of small and large groups or adding public speaking to your performance)
7) r&b/hip-hop style/principles, lyric/song writing, lyric analysis
8) business entrepreneurship through arts, making portfolio/reel/ PR, viral marketing etc
9) Enjoying the art you do!

I can make something "creative and artistic" that you may never have imagined possible. My teaching results come in the countless number of students who study under me reporting back that "I have been an inspiration" to them and they have gone on to do numerous jobs in the arts including starting their own theater companies, began their own music labels and touring, went out for major tv/film auditions & captured the roles and many more!. My teaching style is "meet you where you are and help you expand your natural talent." We can go as fast or slow paced as you like and concentrate on the areas YOU are most interested in. I believe that everyone who has a dream or goal can attain it, they must first gain the belief they can and the rest is up from there!
