Hi! I'm a professional freelance violinist and teacher in the Boston area. I am accepting new violin students of all levels - especially anyone looking for summer lessons! Potential violin students--I am happy to provide a sample recording of my playing on request. In addition to several years of teaching and chamber music coaching experience, I have a great deal of performance experience--orchestral, chamber music, and solo--that I can call on to help my students achieve their best potential. I play with some of Boston's best freelance ensembles, including Boston Modern Orchestra Project and the Boston Lyric Opera, and attended the Tanglewood Music Center of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. My past experience also includes time in a professional string quartet. As a teacher, I pay special attention to making sure students are building musical skills (violin, music theory, note reading), as well as life skills (focus, motivation, detail-oriented work), while having fun! I strongly believe music should be for enjoyment, not as a chore. In addition, I know that every student is different and has different needs, and I am particularly sensitive to making sure each student's unique talents are allowed to shine.
