    Foundations of Classical Guitar

Welcome to my Classical Guitar class, which is designed to be beginner friendly and performance based. This course aims to provide students with a solid foundation of classical guitar techniques that will enable them to confidently perform in front of an audience. In this class, we will focus on developing the fundamentals of classical guitar playing such as hand positioning, finger movement, and posture. Through a variety of exercises and repertoire pieces, students will learn how to read sheet music, understand musical notation and theory, and apply these skills in their own playing. I strongly believe that performance opportunities are essential for enhancing confidence and building stage presence. As such, students will have the chance to showcase their newly developed skills in front of an audience during recitals held throughout the course. These performances serve as a way for students to not only demonstrate their progress but also gain valuable feedback from both their peers and instructor. Whether you are new to the world of classical guitar or seeking to improve your current skills, this class provides a supportive environment for growth and development. Join me today to embark on an exciting journey towards becoming a confident performer!

Nathaniel taught my son who was a beginning player on the bass guitar. I couldn't be more please with the results. Nathaniel did all the normal teacher stuff--had a plan, had prepared goals, gave music homework, was timely--but on top of that he had a friendly, inviting personality that invited my son to want to spend time learning music. It was Nathaniel's happy, inviting attitude that really made things click during my son's lessons and I'm thankful he was willing to take him in as one of his students.
