Lesson Details
During our lessons, we will have a great time. We will have some good laughs, and a lot of fun. We will also learn a great deal.
In the first 3-6 months, we will be learning how to read music, and it's language. We will learn how to perform some songs you may already know and love, as well as some new music. We will also formulate your own goals and work towards accomplishing them.
For the Classical Singers, we will concentrate on traditional technique, breathing, and performing art

songs, and some arias to your full potential.
For Contemporary Singers, we will focus on a more current sound, while still learning sound vocal technique, breathing, and performance skills. We will also learn microphone technique.
For Voice Over instruction, we will concentrate on speaking tone, timing, and learning a durable technique.
For Acting, we will work on finding the correct dialect, inflection, and tone in the voice, as well as facial expression, and body language. We will also concentrate on using the correct speaking rhythm, and comedic and/or dramatic timing.
I love to sing and act. I love to teach. I love to set goals, take the steps to achieve them, and to continue onward in expanding those goals. Music is wonderful. It has encompassed the world in every way. Acting is an art form that has been a vital influence on world culture for centuries. I want to share these gifts, and help them grow with as many people as I can.

Throughout my musical career, I've studied voice technique under the instruction of Dr. Barbara Lockard-Zimmerman, placed 3rd in the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) competition, performed roles in Mozart's "The Magic Flute", and "The Marriage of Figaro", Carlisle Floyd's "Susannah", and Verdi's "Falstaff", Gilbert & Sullivan's "Iolanthe", and "The Gondoliers", toured Europe with the Bowling Green State University Choral Society performing the male alto solo in Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms" with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, and have toured, extensively, with the renowned BGSU Men's Chorus under the direction of Dr. R.D. Mathey, and Dr. William Skoog, and the BGSU Collegiate Chorale under the direction of Dr. Mark Munson.
I have extensive training in contemporary music, and have coached and led contemporary praise bands in the Northwest Ohio area, and sang lead in the Johnny Appleseed District Finalist Quartet: "The Sound Connection". While serving as Chancel Bell Choir Director and a Vocal Technique instructor at the Sylvania United Church of Christ for the past ten years, I've developed both a group, and individual teaching style that works well with students of all ages.
