French Horn with Nathan Q.

Nathan Q. holds a Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from the Conservatory of Music at University of the Pacific. Nathan's primary teachers include Jennie Blomster and Ron Wold with additional masterclasses and lessons under Phil Myers (NY Phil), Bob Ward (SF Symphony) and Gus Sebring (Boston Symphony). Nathan moved from the San Francisco Bay Area to New York in early 2013 to pursue music opportunities in the city. Since arriving in NY, Nathan has performed with the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble (3rd horn), Make Music New York and local theater productions (Aida, The Wiz, Nine). Additionally, Nathan has taught general music through Sports & Arts in the Schools Foundation at PS184 in Queens and is accepting private horn students. *** Lesson Details *** I believe that positive reinforcement is the avenue to success! My goal is for every student to have a productive experience playing their horn and learn at a pace that fits their goals and investment. I teach my students not only how to play, but also the foundation of classical music and the why behind the music.
