About Me

Born and raised in Fair Oaks at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, I'll always be a Northern California boy at heart. I moved down to San Diego in 2007 to finish up my undergraduate at SDSU and fell in love with this city. With all the unique neighborhoods, each with its own character, the ocean, the amazing local beer and bands - its hard to ask for more.

Music is a huge part of my life. It has been ever since my older brother found a 1962 Gibson SG in our attic when we were kids and ... decided we should start a rock band. Since guitar was already taken, and because I sing about as well as I paint, (which, I can't...at all...unless you count stick figures and Paint by Numbers), drums were the next logical instrument choice. I mean, girls love drummers, right? :) Since then, I have had the opportunity to play drums and keyboards in several bands.

Music has taken me all over the world, from Africa to Europe to Sunny Southern California. It has opened doors for me and taken me places I couldn't have gone otherwise, and it has allowed me to pursue my true passion - making this world a better place. Lesson rates vary depending on the length of the lesson (we offer 30, 45, 60, and 90 minute lessons), and the actual location of the lesson (we offer lessons in your home or our teacher's studio). Lessons are paid for in advance by Visa, Mastercard or Discover. Sorry, no cash.
