I have been a musician all my life -- started learning the piano at age 3. I am classically trained, was going to be a concert pianist, but then when I became 18, I realized that I wanted to explore other genres of music. I have played big band jazz, was in a professional original rock band and played on the stage with many famous rock musicians, have played with many different bands in almost every style of music (including hip hop), and am an accomplished studio musician as well. I love music, period. I also am a percussionist and vocal coach. I also can teach church musicians to play "outside the hymnal." (I have played in almost every kind of church, including gospel) *** Lesson Details *** I am very laid back, I use a variety of curriculums and methods, depending on what is needed by the student. My goal is to help you learn what YOU want to learn. If you are are parent reading this, my goal is to help your student learn what they want to learn as well...I will discuss it with you, but the bottom line is that your student is the one who will be learning. I know through experience that music students only really learn what they want to learn. *** Studio Equipment *** Grand piano *** Travel Equipment *** I expect them to have an acoustic piano or an electric piano *** Specialties *** My specialty is finding out what works for the student, and making sure they learn what it is they wanted to learn. I use a variety of methods and curriculums depending upon the student. I am very good at helping church pianists learn how to play "outside the hymnal" -- helping people learn how to play from chord charts or how to read music and learn all the scales and chords, etc. I can help teach people that play by ear how to play from written music. Another specialty is helping people to develop relative pitch, and ear training in general.

Extremely talented and patient Mollie has a gift. I can't get enough of listening to her play the piano. She is an accomplished pianist and performer. Mollie has taught children of all ages and is extremely patient and effective with them. I believe if you are wishing to grow musically, than Mollie can help you whether you are a child wishing to play the piano or an adult wishing to write music. I highly recommend Mollie as a music teacher.

Mollie is the one piano teacher who was able to get through to me and make it so it was easy and fun to use my left hand. I highly recommend her! Mollie is the one piano teacher who was able to get through to me and make it so it was easy and fun to use my left hand. She is patient, and very knowledgeable. Even though I came to her as an adult, I've observed her interacting with children of different ages over the years and she always treats people with respect and dignity. Furthermore, I have known of several of her students going on to enjoy successful music careers. I highly recommend her!
