I have been playing / studying the drum set for over 25 years. I have taken lessons from some of the best teachers on the West Coast and brought the best of their knowledge into my lessons. I have been teaching kids at the Rock School in Seattle for the last 10 years as well as teaching privately for ages 10 and up. Some of the groups I've played / recorded with are: Atma, Kiss Her For The Kid, Leanne Wilkins, Carrie Akre, Stereo Sons, Charles St Messengers. *** Lesson Details *** I work to develop a vocabulary on the drum set that translates through all styles of music. My lessons employ a routine that works well for beginners as well as more advanced players by the option to add difficulty incrementally. This routine gives consistency to the lessons and makes it easy to gauge progress. I teach my students to read music and I explain music theory as it applies to the exercises and work at hand. I teach beginning Guitar and Bass Guitar as well. In these lessons I focus on Scales, Rhythm, and beginning music theory. *** Studio Equipment *** Lessons will be taught in a designated music room that's sound proof.
