I am currently a Graduate Student at Point Loma Nazarene University earning my music teaching credential and Masters in Teaching. For the past 4 years I have been attending PLNU in San Diego where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. I have been teaching private lessons since I was in high school and have been teaching small music classes for the past 4 years. I have been involved in church music, performing groups, and music education for my entire life. All of this to say that I am very passionate about music, children, and teaching others to create and appreciate music as much as I do.

Michael is a great teacher for our 5-yr old son. 

He communicates reliably about lessons, arrives on time, and is always professional and nurturing as needed for a younger child. My son loves when Michael plays theme songs that he is into, which is also motivating.. Star Wars, Harry Potter. He is a skilled violinist himself.

While I was wary about inviting a "stranger" into our home, I can highly recommend Michael as an in-home teacher.

Michael is a fantastic teacher!  My son is 8 and started taking lessons with him about a month ago and I've been very impressed with his professionalism and teaching style.  BTW he is a teacher (school).  Very good demeanor where he can be stern without being overly assertive.  He has already spent 3 out of the 4 lessons staying extra time, which shows just how much he cares about the kids.  The biggest compliment I can give him is that my son thinks he is great and looks forward to his violin lesson each week with him.  You won't be disappointed that I guarantee you.....write it down I said it!  I'm not related to Michael I just really appreciate good teachers because there are so many bad ones.  Extremely talented and bright and knows how to keep even the most difficult child (ADHD) on track.  Thanks Michael.
