Michael teaches a variety of different skill levels. He understands how to help students make that jump from beginner to intermediate and intermediate to advanced. He knows how to make good technique and good musicianship work hand in hand to make students better overall musicians.

Born in New York City and always surrounded by different music, Michael began studying at a very early age with the piano. Later on, he got serious with the upright and electric bass and got his degree from SUNY Purchase in jazz performance. At SUNY Purchase, Michael studied with some of the best teachers in New York such as Hal Galper, Todd Coolman, and Kermit Driscoll. He has a lot of experience as a performer in New York City as both a leader and a sideman in many different styles of music.
