During my clinical career in Psychotherapy and Family Social Work, my focus was to guide and support clients in the process of transforming their pain/confusion/ dependency/ illness crisis into a rewarding recovery. Now that I've retired from clinical work, I want to help clients transform their leisure time into recreation that promotes physical and emotional health, vital aesthetic appreciation and spiritual expansion. For me, as an appreciator, player and performer, music has served as health and vitality wellsprings all my life. Now, I would like to continue these activities sharing my knowledge and skills with others, as an encore career. I am available for consultation, lessons, coaching and mentoring on the guitar, saxophone, keyboard and bass guitar. I am especially interested in improvisation and synergy that comes with playing music with others. Supported experience and coaching is important in developing musical combo/group opportunities, group awareness and skills in musical relationships. *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are developed around the students goals, their ability level and their skill/knowledge level. The first session is a consultation to evaluate these four dimensions and the quality of rapport potential. Self evaluation through recording/listening is an important part of the motivation/developmental continuum and begins and concludes each session following the beginning consultation. *** Studio Equipment *** Full band rehearsal studio with sound system and recording capacity; instruments to use during sessions or rent to take home; Skype lessons/consults on occasion. *** Travel Equipment *** Sound system; instruments; recording systems; van; bands. *** Specialties *** My specialities include: Ear Training; practical music theory; Improvisation; group/combo skills; Performance Anxiety and benefits of multi-instrumentalism.
