Here for all your piano needs

I started playing the piano at age 8, and received a minor in Classical Piano in college. I have been teaching piano lessons for 10 years, and have taught a wide array of ages and abilitites. I stress fundamentals but encourage students to become the player they want to be, whether it be in a jazz, pop, or classical setting. Whether you are just starting out on piano, want to reach the next level but need some help, or want to dive into a very specific idiom of piano playing, I can help you achieve your piano goals.

    About Matthew M.

I have been playing music in some way, shape, or form since I started taking piano lessons in 2000. The next year, I started playing saxophone in 2001, and have since then have added in many other instruments, including: flute, clarinet, guitar, ukulele, and mandolin. I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Jazz Performance, specializing in jazz saxophone. During college, I also received a minor in classical piano. I have been teaching saxophone and piano privately since 2014, and have been a classroom music teacher since 2016. As a classroom music teacher, I have taught classroom ukulele and guitar, and am able to fulfill lesson needs you may have for both of those instruments as well. Whether you want to start off learning a new instrument, or want to refine your musical skills, I am able to help you achieve your musical goals. I have experience teaching young children all the way to people who have wanted to learn music after retiring. I am currently only teaching only.
