    About Mark G.

I experienced life in Hollywood attending the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and it shook my world in not only the craft of acting but also that passion is key in pursuing this field. Because when success in roles doesn't come your way, you are still satisfied with your choice of occupation. Personal Experience in Theater: Several roles played at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2003 Performed in two local improv groups 2003-2005 MP role in "The House of Blue Leaves" in 2005 Manolo Costazeula in "The Odd Couple- Female Version" in 2010 Lenny Ganz in "Rumors" in 2012 *** Lesson Details *** Through experience in drama school and additional time spent learning the craft, I believe I have learned what it takes to teach the craft with passion. With emphasis on objectives, improv, and being in the moment, certain techniques will be employed to enhance believability. There is no one true path to learning the craft. Every teacher is different as well as any student. And every teacher that doesn't learn from their students are well. just teachers. As any craft/skill-based action, people are all always learning regardless of your position. There is no right way or wrong way of teaching but only a deeper understanding of what is possible. As actors, we hope to dig down deeper. To open ourselves wider. It's like a muscle. Keep exercising it and we find "muscles" we never knew we had. There are a variety of techniques that I have been taught. These are the basics of the craft of acting. These are not film-based nor theater-based acting. It is understanding how to respond and learning how to be in the moment.
