I am happy to be expanding my Nashville studio, which provides both violin/fiddle and viola lessons. I have been playing violin for 21 years, viola for 13, and teaching both for 10 years. After earning a violin performance degree (summa cum laude) from Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship, I moved to Nashville to pursue both teaching and performing. My teaching style varies from student to student, depending on what one is interested in learning. For violin and viola students, the focus is on technique and classical repertoire, with the option of studying through the Suzuki method. For fiddle students, I emphasize the study of improvisation, accompaniment ideas and tunes. I am able to do in-home lessons, or students are welcome to come to my studio.
