You will learn the mechanics of your instrument and increase your range. Whether you are a complete beginner, a jazz crooner, or a screaming rock 'n roll singer, I can break your bad habits and lead you through the production of all sounds and tones you desire to make without tension, pain or damage to the voice. Piano students (beginners -intermediate) will learn the basics of rhythm, intervals, ear training and sight reading- as well as music theory, scales, chords and chord chart reading. Songwriters will learn how to craft a good lyric with meaning and hooks. Whether you choose to write in the folk or singer/songwriter tradition or commercial pop songs, I can take you all the way from concept to finished demo and all the steps in between, including learning an instrument to accompany yourself, or co-writers to work with if you are only a lyric and melody writer. *** Specialties *** Voice: Method: Bell Canto - forward, focused placement.
