Voted Best Dance Teacher 2006 - 2013 Lisa S. is a dance teacher, performer/choreographer and key figure in the San Francisco area dance community. By age 17, she had already established herself as a talented artist and performer of classical dance from around the world. For five years, Lisa toured as a principle performer with the two acclaimed Bay Area companies at such prestigious venues as Jacob’s Pillow, the Herbst Theater and Zellerbach Auditorium. After a short retirement to work in K-12 education, Lisa returned to dance as the founding director of a Marin-based nonprofit arts organization. With more than 20 years of teaching experience behind her, Lisa has successfully pioneered her own proven method for passing on a wealth of knowledge and sharing professional level techniques in the field of movement. In addition to a regular schedule of ongoing dance fitness classes, Lisa conducts a certification course in Ethnic Dance through UNESCO-Council on International Dance and College of Marin.
