Lesson Details

For beginning piano students I like to use the Alfred series, supplemented, of course, with songs/styles of music that interest the student.
Guitar, clarinet, and oboe students can expect to begin with the Essential Elements series as a primer and introduction. I've had a lot of success with these books.
Voice students are a bit different in that I don't use a specific method to instruct. I have many books that I draw from when teaching voice due to the unique nature of the individual. ... Depending on the style of music, from classical to jazz/pop, I have music that will teach proper breath support, vowel placement and tone.

I have been a music teacher and private lesson instructor for the past 15 years. I have a bachelor of science degree in Music Education and hold a teaching certificate for all-level Music Education. In my private studio I have taught students from 3-70 and have enjoyed them all! In addition to teaching music I also serve as the Music Minister for my church. Students coming to me can expect a tremendous amount of experience as well as a committed, honest and caring teacher.
