    About Lilia V.

I have a PhD. in music theory from Moscow conservatory, Russia. I am teaching for 25 years piano, composition, music theory. I am a concert pianist and composer and have released a CD "Yearning" in 2009, performed piano concerts in California. My lessons are developed according to the unique profile of each of my student. I am emphatic with the wishes of my students and create a unique method for each of them. It means, for kids I develop a creative approach, storytelling and other creative tools , when teaching basic music theory and piano. With adults I use a software "Piano Maestro" for beginners to catch up with music literacy and they enjoy it, because after they easily achieve a basic literacy they start playing real music and they are enjoying making progress in piano lessons. I also teach at the higher professional levels, including preparation of the student to music college and even international piano competition. I also teach kids and adults with autism, ASD and aspergers, I have a great and very positive experience teaching them piano and music theory lessons. *** Lesson Details *** For the beginners I have an easy approach using a software and storytelling, colors for the keys of piano. For the advanced students I can prepare them for the University and International piano competition at any level. *** Studio Equipment *** I have a mini grand Yamaha piano in my house. *** Travel Equipment *** I have a car to travel. *** Specialties *** I am pianist, composer and teacher.
