I've been teaching for about 10 years and enjoy working with children and adults of all levels. I encourage each student to set and work toward specific goals, whether that be learning to read music and perform basic repertoire, or preparing more advanced pieces and recital work. Many of my students have been children and teens, but I also love working with adults who are either brand new to the piano or are picking it up after a hiatus. My own playing has mostly been in the classical genre, but I am comfortable teaching other styles as well. I studied piano at the New England Conservatory (M.M.) and Boston University (D.M.A.). *** Lesson Details *** Lessons are designed for each individual based on what is needed, but in general there should be a strong emphasis on independent music reading and comprehension, proper technique, and artistic expression.
