Lesson Details

All levels of learners can expect to receive lessons on theory, style, and technique. For students interested in piano or organ, there will be a balance of sight-reading and aural (learning by ear) training. As students show progression, music performance and delivery will be integrated into the lesson plan.

About

Khalil has had a life filled with music. His musical endeavors began at the age of six and since that time he has built mastery in the areas of piano, organ, drums, and saxophone. He sought formal music education at Elizabeth City University where he attended via a scholarship for his skills in rhythm. It was during this time that he strengthened his skills in percussion such as drums and piano. After matriculating Khalil went on to play for several well acclaimed artist and gospel groups ... throughout his career. He currently is a Director of Music and chief organist for a local church in the Washington Metro area. He specializes in Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Jazz, and R&B; however can play and train all genres of interest, including classical.
