With a Master's degree from SIUE and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy, I have not only studied to become a performer but also a voice teacher. I am a professional musician who has sung with Opera Theatre of St. Louis as well as the St. Louis Symphony. I have experience in Jazz and Musical Theater as well. As a teacher, I am comfortable teaching all styles. I believe in teaching a classical technique that is adaptable to other styles. Lessons start with vocal exercises and the technique learned from those is applied to the repertoire that the students want to sing. *** Lesson Details *** 30-60 Minute Lessons Beginners typically start with 30 minute lessons The beginning of lessons start with exercises and then we work on repertoire. Sight singing and ear training are also covered for a short period of time.
