I am a singer with over 10 years of classical training and have been teaching voice for several years. I have performed in opera, oratorio, musical theater, jazz, folk and Irish ensembles. I can teach repertoire in French, German, Italian and Irish Gaelic. I can also teach beginning piano which is great for some of the younger students who aren't ready for full voice lessons and want to combine both. I have years of experience singing professionally. I have been lucky enough to tour North America, Asia and Europe with different Irish groups form small bands to performing 8 shows a week in the touring company of the Broadway show Riverdance. Singing is a huge part of who I am, I have been doing it since before I can remember and I love sharing what I have learned with my students. *** Lesson Details *** I will tailor my lessons to meet your individual goals. We will work on repertoire you are excited about while also working on pieces that challenge you. The lessons will be rooted in classical technique because I believe it will make you a better singer while maintaining a healthy voice no matter which style we are working on. In addition to technique, we will work on performance skills, basic music theory, sight-singing and ear-training because I think that musicianship is an important factor in becoming a great singer. I am a positive and supportive teacher and will try to put you at ease immediately because I know singing and performing can make people feel vulnerable.
