Life Coaching with Kate B.

Hello, my name is Kate. For over seven years I have been working with children, and my passion to do so has only grown. I started out in childcare, leading to mentoring teens who were struggling or in transition, and coordinating with their families to provide the support and outside assistance needed. I have taught on healthy family dynamics and spiritual growth, working with a network of young families in Northern India. After returning to the US, I taught as a PE Soccer Instructor, while aiding in the teaching of core classes and athletics. I have continued to mentor youth and young adults, while I also mentored woman between young adults and late-twenties struggling with major life controlling issues- depression, self-harm, trauma and abuse, to name a few (one-on-one support, group teaching, and aiding in daily life skills through an in-home organization). In 2012, I became the Youth Director for an intimate Jr. and Sr. High program. I then taught at-risk kids Health and Wellness. As an individual whom has both personally experienced and worked with those struggling with physical and mental health, life-controlling issues, and learning disabilities, it is my desire to partner with your child and family as a whole, providing support for struggling children and youth and aiding in their capacity to not just survive, but THRIVE in life! I focus on: Youth between ages 9-17, who would benefit from personal support in thriving despite physical or mental health struggles, learning disabilities, and life-controlling issues, as well as spiritual support for those who desire it. Rather than being a counselor, my place is in the daily support you need! My methods include: Teaching personal health and wellness Creative stimulation (intuitive art, working with animals, cultivating personal interests) Support in daily activities such as school work, transportation, etc. Working one-on-one to strengthen the area of struggle in a creative manor, whether with reading, dealing with depression, or gaining a healthy self-image
