About Me
Over my life I have had a love for music. I've studied, piano, flute, and dance, but singing and performing keeps me coming back!
I had the privilege of studying with artist in residence Augusto Paglialunga at West Virginia University where I received my degree in Vocal Performance. Mr. Paglialunga taught me the importance of starting with a healthy voice no matter what style I planned on performing. From singing opera or jazz in college to singing pop music while touring the country, I first start with a healthy voice and every style falls into place.
Lesson Details
Our starting point will be to learn more about the voice as an instrument and how it works and how to take care of it. We'll then take some time learning to sing classically which is a vital stepping stone and learning how to singing with a healthy voice.
While studying many other vocal styles, we will also work on the performance aspect of any piece you will be working on.
You can expect I will stress the importance of practice time and plan to keep you accountable to that.
On top of all that... you can count on having a blast while singing your heart out!
Kate has been a North Wales private music instructor for TakeLessons since 2009. Kate is a certified local music teacher.

My Specialties
I studied classically in college and much of my time in private lessons with my professor was spent in correct placement of the mouth and direction of air for quality sound and a healthy voice. I plan to use many of the same exercises in private teaching. I also believe that our bodies need to be in good shape to fully see our singing ability, so I plan to encourage students to be active physically which will translate into their strength and stamina in voice.

How To Sign Up
Review the TakeLessons teachers in your area. Find the teacher you like the best and either book online or call/email a TakeLessons Student Counselor to book your lessons. You will then choose a day and time that works best for you, select your lesson package and pay via credit or debit card to book your lessons.
After you have booked your lessons, your instructor will contact you within 1-2 days. This gives the instructor a chance to introduce him or herself, and make sure everything is set for your first lesson.
