I have been playing drums for 13 years and have played with numerous bay area bands and have been teaching private lessons since 2005. I have experience with Rock, Jazz, Trip Hop, Funk, Reggae, and Soul. Teaching and playing drums is my passion and I always strive to keep my students interested and challenged along with the patience necessary to teach some one learning an instrument for the first time. Thanks! *** Lesson Details *** I have specific exercises to build up your coordination and stamina to start with. I also focus on technique and posture to you in the best position to be successful. I also like to encourage students to bring in songs or exercises they want to learn. I have patience and I am always open to questions along with wanting to push my students to get better. I also have recently joined the folk rock/americana band Benjamin Winter and the Make Believe. This has given me another style to play around with and has improved my brush technique which in this project is about half the songs.

Ghost and the City

I have been playing drums for the band Ghost and the City for 5 years. I have recorded 2 full length albums plus an EP and have plans to record a new album being released in 2015. I have played at various venue's around the bay area including The Great American Music Hall, The Independent, The Phoenix Theater, Slims, Bottom of the Hill, The Rickshaw Stop, and the Uptown Theater. I have gained experience playing a variety of styles with Ghost and the City including, Jazz, Rock, Soul, Electronica, Trip Hop, and Blues.
