Beginner's piano lessons will work on something new every lesson, including reading music, values of notes, time signatures, and an introduction to key signatures and accidentals. Piano lessons for children can easily cover this material, and they will enjoy beginning piano lessons.
Intermediate level will expand the repertoire and build on what they have learned in the beginner stage. Reading music will become more challenging, note values and time signatures will be studied in more
depth, along with key signatures and accidentals, music theory will be introduced which will include all 12 major keys, the minor keys and chord building. Technique will be introduced at this level in a way that is both challenging and fun. You can progress to jazz piano lessons and Yamaha piano lessons and classical music.
Advanced level will include working on concert pieces and/or more advanced theory for chord building, arranging and improvisation. Jazz piano lessons can introduce more repertoire at this stage.
Offering instruction in all styles including classical, romantic, impressionistic, baroque, jazz, and modern (rock and pop) by a Cum Laude graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts - Bachelor of Music Education. Also included are Music theory and Technique. Once the students build up a repertoire at any level, they can record an audio CD if they like. All of the options offered today are so exciting! We have the choice of a traditional piano with its beautiful
sound, or a digital piano with 200 to 500 different voices (depending on which model you have selected), including pre set styles, accompaniment, rhythms, built-in metronome, song memory, and split voice. Jazz piano lessons and classical piano Lessons are a lot of fun on a keyboard like this, especially if you have the full keyboard of 88 keys. Beginning piano lessons and piano lessons for children are wonderful on these keyboards too. Everyone likes to experiment with the different voices and combinations. If you are at the beginner piano lessons stage, or any stage, this type of keyboard can offer endless hours of enjoyment.
If you want to record music right in your own home, you can install the recording software on a laptop computer, attach it to the interface using a port cable, and then attach the interface to your keyboard. After making the recording, you can burn your very own audio CDs. The possibilities are endless.
In-Studio: 88-key Yamaha Portable Grand, that has 500 voices, voice combinations, and built in rhythms and built in styles. There is also a laptop and an audiogram available for recording.
In-Home: Students need to have a piano or a keyboard. They should also buy the basic method book, the John Thompson course and I provide additional materials myself. I like his course because it does not spend 15 lessons on 1 concept but keeps moving on to
new things and students will never get bored. I will let you know which book you shoulod buy when you sign up for piano lessons. John Thompson was a well-known concert pianist in his time, and his course books are excellent.
