Guitar with Joseph C.

Hello! My name is Joseph C. and I want to help you start your musical journey. I have been playing guitar and bass since I was 15 years old and started playing payed performances in my early 20's. I have had the pleasure of playing everything from heavy metal guitar to country and blues bass. I am currently performing with a Ramones tribute band as well as a internationally recognized, and NAMMI award winning Native American flute artist. I have taught guitar and bass since 2009 as well as tutored music theory students at San Juan College under the expert supervision of miss Linda Edwards. As an instructor, I have but one philosophy. Music is supposed to be fun. There is supposed to be passion. I don't believe in doing tons of work out of books or methods. My preferred approach to music instruction is finding out where the student wants to be, and why they want to play music in the first place? From there I will work with them to set individual goals that we can accomplish as a team. I find that this method is challenging, effective, personalized, and enjoyable.
