I have both an undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Oxford, and graduate degree in voice from The Peabody Institute. I'm a working singer who currently sings as a cantor at the National Shrine in DC. You might have seen me sing on EWTN one afternoon or evening. I have a very eclectic taste in music and am happy to teach almost any style where real singing is happening including pop, rock, musical theater and classical. I have an extensive understanding of the human voice from my university studies and will show you exercises to unlock your full potential should you want to work. Then we can put that voice into practice in any style you choose. I'm happy to suggest repertoire but I would rather you bring me the music you know and love. I believe that all singing in all styles should come from a place of solid vocal technique. This means a sound which is supported from a low breath, free from tension in the throat, neck, jaw and tongue, and which is first and foremost beautiful.
