Mark M. plays keyboard and acoustic guitar and is a back-up vocalist for Yankee Rebel. A multi-instrumentalist trained in various musical genres, Mark’s true passion is country music—an enthusiasm that is evident in the intensity that he brings to the stage. Prior to moving to New York in 2012, Mark spent seventeen years performing live music in his native Texas. His notable performances include opening for luminaries such as Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Travis Tritt, Pat Green, and Josh Turner. When Mark is not playing with the band, he enjoys composing and recording original vocal and instrumental works. He also teaches private piano, guitar, and drum lessons to beginner and intermediate students of all ages. *** Lesson Details *** I like to teach music in a manner that's fun. Lessons will include learning songs the student enjoys and incorporating a knowledge of music theory. My curriculum follows the needs and wants of the student. My number one goal is for the student to be happy with their achievements and supply them with the skills they need to pursue music on their own. *** Travel Equipment *** Student will need their own instrument.
