English with JoAnn B.

JoAnn B. is currently an Adjunct Professor for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing ESOL Department at Austin Community College in Austin, TX. JoAnn earned her B.A. degree in Production and Performance Arts with a minor in Educational Drama in 2006. She also received two more B.A.’s in Secondary Education and English in 2009. She continued her studies in Deaf Education and received her M.A. degree in 2011. Her overall career has included being a caretaker, a performer, a para-professional, a coach,a high school teacher, an event planner and a coordinator. Her goal is to reach out to the community in various ways with her skills in teaching English, her talents in acting and dancing, and much more. When taking lessons (English, Dance, Acting or American Sign Language) with JoAnn, she will center the lessons based on your needs. The design of the lesson will be entirely up to what goals you want to accomplish. She will work at your pace and increase the complexity as time goes by. Your lessons are all about you! Lessons are designed based on the goal of the student and the outcome they want accomplished. *** Studio Equipment *** I have my own laptop if needed. I also have my own portable music player if needed. *** Travel Equipment *** I have my own vehicle for transportation purposes for getting to and from a client's home or studio. *** Specialties *** I am skilled in many areas.
