About Jimmy C.

Currently serving as a violin instructor at my private music studio for the last five years. I began studying the violin at age six in New York City, pursuing my training in classical music. Through meeting other musicians and first-hand exposure to music, many interests developed in exploring other genres of performance. Since my arrival to Chicago in 2008, I have been performing with various artists and musicians at numerous venues/events such as The Double Door, The Elbo Room, Schubas, Uncommon Ground, Red Kiva, Summerfest, Grant Park, The United Center, Wrigley Field. Hollywood & Blue Chip Casinos, Arcada Theater, Ballydoyle, and many more. ** Lesson Details *** Students are taught the Suzuki method in combination with familiar contemporary music. As students develop the fundamental and technical skills in classical training, contemporary music may be simultaneously incorporated into lessons according to the student's interest. *** Studio Equipment (Provided) *** Music stand, Chairs, Notes/Music, Metronome/Tuner, Rosin etc.

Classical Blast is a unique 4-pc band dedicated to bringing the classical arts to mainstream rock & pop music. We are classically trained musicians who love to rock. We believe in the power of the arts to inspire, to educate, to uplift, to effect change, even to heal. We often use our time to teach or to perform at hospitals to help positively change the energy for those dealing with illness. We also believe music has no boundaries. We apply these concepts to our live shows by performing whatever we enjoy playing. Who says we have to stick with one genre? Our influences have no boundaries. Classical Blast's style, technique and tools breathe new life into rock music as well as the classics.
