My teaching technique consists of giving students practical and theoretical knowledge. I like to cater to each students personal goals, while providing them with an education that will assist in developing their skills in their instrument and knowledge. I have different experiences that qualify me to be an effective educator. I have been a member of vocal and piano ensembles. I have also performed with the Loyola Opera, Summerfest Theatre (now known as Red Mountain Theatre), Birmingham Children's Theater, and Magic City Performance Arts Center. I have also given solo recitals in voice and piano. Typically, I like to begin lessons in voice and piano with warm ups. For piano, this would be finger technique exercises. For voice, this would include breathing and vocal warm ups. Then, spending the rest of the lesson working on specific repertoire. Music Theory help will be determined based on the student's experiences with music theory.
