    Specialties
    I specialize in classical art song, especially German Lieder, operatic arias, and preparing for auditions & performances. For piano, I use Alfred's teaching method for beginners of all ages. I incorporate music theory into each lesson for both voice and piano students. For voice, I use a large variety of songbooks, depending on the student's skill level and interest in various musical genres.
    Lesson Details
    I tend to be a laid back teacher, with a bubbly personality! On the other hand, I can be quite strict when it comes to teaching correct technique, and am very thorough in that regard. For my voice students, I never assign a song the student does not like, since the student is less likely to practice and therefore unlikely to reach his/her true potential.     Jill graduated from SDSU in 2010 with a Bachelor's of Music degree in Vocal Performance. She has been studying voice for 10 years now, and also grew up playing violin, viola, and piano since age 8. Jill currently maintains a multi-faceted career as a classically-trained soprano soloist, choir director, and private music instructor. She hopes to achieve a Masterʼs degree in Speech Pathology within the next few years, and has a passionate and serious commitment to teach healthy singing and piano ...
