About Jeremy H.

My name is Jeremy. I'm an active percussionist from the Twin Cities. I grew up in Waseca, MN where the community takes great pride in their music programs. I involved myself in any ensemble that I could possibly be in. Through high school and college I've had experience performing in symphonic, marching, jazz, pit orchestra, percussion ensembles, pop, country, rock, hip-hop and various other bands. For a summer job through my college years I played drums and sang at Valleyfair! where I performed in a variety of groups working 6 shows a day, 6 days a week. I graduated with my BA in Music Business and Percussion Performance from McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN. For 4 years I traveled nationally and internationally with country-rock group Hitchville. I currently play percussion for indie-pop-rock group Cloud Cult. Aside from that I perform in a number of cover bands and have various recording projects that keep my performance life busy. I hope to meet you and work with you soon!!

Cloud Cult

This is my latest job. Cloud Cult is based out of Minneapolis, MN. I joined the group in August of 2014. My first experience with the group was to travel to the Czech Republic and headline a folk festival. From there I have played shows within the midwest and also participated in a west coast tour, visiting cities such as Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. We are currently working on a new recording project and playing various shows around the U.S.

The Narrows Saloon

I play every Wednesday night at The Narrows Saloon's Country Jam. Here we play a variety of country songs, old and new, and we invite musicians to come up and play with our house band. It can be very exciting because sometimes you never know who will come up or what they will want to play. It really forces me to think on my feet and use my instincts as a musician.

Hitchville

Hitchville is a local country-rock group based out of the Twin Cities. They travel primarily within the United States, specifically within the regions of MN, IA, ND, and WI. I had the privilege of traveling internationally to Mexico a number of times to perform for corporate events and parties as well. Here I learned how to chart specific drum parts required for current country rock songs. Along with that I learned to work as the roadie, drum tech, and performer all at once. This position taught me how to become a well rounded professional.

Valleyfair!

At Valleyfiar! I was introduced to the life of a working performer. I played 6 shows a day, 6 times a week. I played drums and sang for the strolling marching band, the kid friendly family band, the gazebo dance review show, and the halloween haunt band. There was high demand for top notch performances for every show of everyday. Talk about a physical and mental work out! I loved my experience there and it helped push me onto greater things within my career as a percussionist.
